"This grant gives me motivation to continue doing my research that can make an impact on others. Everyday, thousands of people are suffering from Major Depression. Many self injure themselves or have suicidal ideation. Using my research, we could target people early to prevent suicide and self harm. Winning this award showed me that research matters. It is important, not only to my studies, but to everyone. Winning this award will allow me to continue my research on depression and suicide.
