APS Albert Bandura Graduate Research Award
What is it?
  • Up to $1,000 for travel expenses to the APS National Convention
  • A 3-year membership in APS
  • Two engraved plaques—one for the winner, and one for the psychology department as a permanent honor.

How does it work?

  1. Do an empirical research project.
  2. Present the results of your research at a state, regional, or national psychology convention, OR have your research published in a psychology journal.
  3. Submit your paper for consideration for the award.
  4. You will be notified of your status in 60–90 days.

Who should apply?

Psi Chi students who

  • have completed excellent research,
  • have presented or published that research, and
  • are not competing for the APA Edwin Newman Graduate Research Award.

Who is Albert Bandura?

Albert Bandura is one of the most well known psychologists in the world. He developed the social learning theory and is best known for his Bobo doll study.
