What is it?
Two awards of $600 each. One Diversity Award will be given to the primary author of the best article related to diversity published in the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research during the year prior to the award deadline. For this award, reviewers would identify and evaluate diversity-related articles already published. One Diversity Award will be given to the primary author of the best article submitted for publication in Eye on Psi Chi. The winning article selected for the award may subsequently be published.
How does it work?
- View detailed program guidelines and apply for the award through the application portal. Both Journal and Eye applicants must identify themselves through the application process.
- The Diversity Committee
evaluates applications and chooses a winner.
- You will be
notified of your status within 60–90 days.
Who should apply?
Students who have written articles concerning diversity issues and wish to be considered for publication in the Eye on Psi Chi. Students who have published diversity articles in the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research will be considered. Example issues include:
- ethnic minorities,
- economic factors,
- mental disability, and
- physical disability,
as well as other topics. For eligibility questions contact the awards department.
Both graduate and undergraduate Psi Chi members
are eligible for this award.
