WEBSITE MAINTENANCE
The Psi Chi Central Office is performing website maintenance that requires us to suspend the use of the website beginning Friday, January 29, at 12:00 pm EST. Constitutional amendment voting will remain online through February 1. The website and database should be back online for use by 8:00 am EST on Monday, February 8. Chapters are encouraged to contact the Psi Chi Central Office at (423) 756-2044 or psichi@psichi.org for assistance during this time.
FREE FINANCIAL STRESS KIT
In the US today, over 50% of college students have financial stress, and 7% drop out due to this stress. Thanks to a 2010 Psi Chi Thelma Hunt Grant, a free kit on reducing students’ financial stress is now available, on request, to chapters planning their campus programs for spring 2010. This kit includes all materials needed for a 1-hour campus workshop: a survey, posters, booklets, and a 15-minute DVD featuring award-winning financial expert and Psi Chi member Anthony J. DeVito, PhD, CFP. For a free kit, just contact Amanda Vardi soon, at vardi@fordham.edu
MID-SOUTH PSYCHOLOGY CONFERENCE
The purpose of the Mid-South Psychology Conference is to provide undergraduate psychology students with a friendly and professional outlet to present original research and receive feedback from their peers, professors, and a panel of judges. The University of Memphis will host this year’s conference entitled “Psychology’s Role in Hope and Healing” on February 27, 2010. Sponsors of the conference are University of Memphis, Lambuth University, and Christian Brothers University. Submissions are due on January 29, 2010. More information can be found at
