Award Opportunities for Officer Teams –Application Due Date Extended to 12/8

 

Psi Chi has a new award, the Kay Wilson Officer Team Leadership Award, which recognizes the best chapter officer team for exceptional leadership as a group. The winning application receives $1,000 for the chapter to distribute among the officers and $1,000 for the chapter. Applications are due online by midnight on December 8 at https://www.scholarselect.com/scholarships/2225-2011-12-wilson-officer-team-leadership-award.

 

Position Announcement – Editor in Chief of the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research

 

The Psi Chi Board of Directors is seeking applications for the position of Editor in Chief of the Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research. The term for this position is three years with the option to renew. In its 16th year, it is the quarterly journal of Psi Chi, publishing empirical articles from all areas of psychology.

 

Interested applicants should email a letter of intent detailing their relevant experience and qualifications for the position, a copy of their CV and a statement of their philosophy for the Journal in light of recent changes to Dr. Martha S. Nominations Are Open for 2012-13 Board of Directors


Nominations are being accepted for the 2012-13 Board of Directors until December 15, 2011.  Offices up for election are President-Elect and Vice-Presidents of the Midwestern, Southeastern, and Southwestern Regions.

 

All chapters may submit one nominee for President-Elect from the following list of eligible candidates: Ngoc H. Bui; Melanie Domenech Rodríguez; Deana L. Julka; Richard A. Kasschau; R. Eric Landrum; Maria Lavooy; Betsy L. Morgan; Randall E. Osborne; Joseph J. Palladino. The President-Elect serves on the Board for a total of 3 years, one each as President-Elect, President and Past-President. Travel and other requirements will be shared with the nominees.

 

The open Vice-President positions are in the Midwestern, Southeastern and Southwestern regions. Chapters in each of those regions may nominate actively involved faculty advisors for the Vice-President position in their region. Regional Vice-Presidents serve a two-year term and may be reelected for an additional two-year term. Travel and other requirements will be shared with the nominees.

For Vice-President Nominees, their institution and email must be included.
