Category: Recognition
Congratulations to Dr. Slater Newman, former Psi Chi President (1997-98) and former Psi Chi faculty advisor (27 years), for becoming the 35th recipient of the Frank Porter Graham Award. The American Civil Liberties Union of North Carolina recognizes Dr. Newman for his outstanding civil and human rights advocacy. As one of the founding members of ACLU (then known as the North Carolina Civil Liberties Union), he had dedicated half a century to humanitarianism. Psi Chi, as well as many other organizations, have benefited from Dr. Newman's influence--a man who always has the best interest of mankind at heart.
