Farewell Psi Chi
by Paula Miller, Outgoing Executive Officer/Chief Operations Officer - Psi Chi National Office
Category: Editor's Column
Many of you may have noticed the advertisement for a new Executive Officer on the Psi Chi website or in other venues. I have recently resigned my position as Executive Officer/Chief Operations Officer with the organization due to a relocation with my family to another state. Understandably saying GOOD-BYE to such a wonderful organization has been hard! During my tenure with Psi Chi I've been blessed to have worked with so many talented people serving on Psi Chi's National Council, acting as faculty advisors for our chapters, and so many, many Psi Chi members. I've been fortunate to know Ruth Cousins and Carol Tracy, have worked under such wonderful leadership as the late Kay Wilson, and most recently partnered with Virginia Andreoli Mathie. I have also been lucky to be surrounded by such wonderful and capable staff members as Amie Austin Hearn, Scott Gast, Susan Iles, Melissa Strickland, and several part-time Psi Chi student employees. Thank you to so many wonderful men and women who have given generously of their time and talent to Psi Chi; I say FAREWELL and I thank you for your wonderful service!
I am very thankful of the many opportunities Psi Chi has afforded me to learn and grow over the years. I'm happy to say that I am leaving Psi Chi with a profound sense of pride, accomplishment, and respect for the organization. I will miss Psi Chi, its people, and its mission very much. I have enjoyed being a part of Psi Chi, first as a student member, and then later as an employee. I know that the new Executive Officer will be fortunate to know all the greatness that Psi Chi represents and will lead Psi Chi to new opportunities!
I will always treasure the memories and friendships developed during my time with Psi Chi, and I bid everyone GOOD LUCK and BEST WISHES for all your future endeavors!
