APA Student Travel Award - Program Information & Application Instructions www.apa.org/science/travinfo.html Deadline: Applications must be received by April 1, 2002. The Science Directorate of the American Psychological Association sponsors an annual competition for graduate student travel awards. The purpose of the Travel Award program is to help psychology graduate students travel to the annual APA Convention to present their research. In 2002, approximately 100 students will receive this $300 award to support their travel to the APA Convention in Chicago, IL. Applicants who are both members of the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS) and first authors are eligible to have their convention registration fees waived. Further information about this potential fee waiver will be provided to all applicants in the notification of application receipt, which will be e-mailed by April 19, 2002. graduate award

APSSC Student Grant Program In an effort to support student research in psychology, the APSSC provides a funding source for APS student affiliates to conduct research that currently is in its initial development. The APSSC Student Grant Program offers partial financial support for various research expenses (e.g., the purchase of research materials) prior to data collection. Up to three awards ($250 each) will be available to graduate student affiliates and up to two awards ($100 each) will be available to undergraduate student affiliates. Research proposals in all areas of psychological science are welcome. Each research proposal will be evaluated by peers on the clarity in the presentation of ideas, the ability of the project to explain some psychological phenomenon, and the ability of the project to advance research in a specified area. undergraduate and graduate award

Eligibility generally requires faculty member to be CUR member. Note: CUR also sponsors regional and national conferences at which undergraduate students can present research. provides support for a seminal experience in the life of an undergraduate natural or social science, mathematics, or engineering student. Our fellowships provide ten weeks of research with a faculty mentor on the student’s home campus. The student and mentor apply jointly. Research projects are conducted during the summer between the junior and senior years. Our fellowships currently provide a student stipend of $3,000 - $3,500 and $500 for supplies and materials.
