Presenters: F. Jeri Carter, Washington School of Professional Psychology
A free preconvention workshop for undergraduates on getting into graduate school will be offered on Wednesday, August 6 (one day before the APA Convention in Toronto, Ontario, Canada), from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Entitled "So Many Choices: Finding the Right Doctoral Program," this program is designed for undergraduate students who plan to pursue a doctorate in psychology, but do not know if they will seek a PhD, PsyD, EdD, or a combination degree.
Information will be provided clarifying the distinctions between areas of interest, such as clinical, counseling, school, developmental, experimental, and blended programs. The goal of the workshop is to help students choose a doctoral program that offers the best fit with one's career goals. It will also cover the broad scope of program options across both applied and research programs.
If you are planning to go to Toronto for the APA Convention in August, be sure to e-mail apags@apa.org to reserve your space for this free program!
