PSI CHI: The International Honor Society in Psychology

The International Honor Society in Psychology

Psi Chi Program at 2004 SWPA

Conference: Psi Chi Southwestern Regional Convention Program (2004)

CONVENTION DATES: APRIL 8 - 10, 2004

SWPA will celebrate its 50th Anniversary at the 2004 meeting. Psi Chi had a presence at the first SWPA meeting in 1954 and has continued to have a close relationship with SWPA over the years. Psi Chi celebrates its 75th year concurrent with SWPA's 50th!

This convention is a very special occasion and some special features are being added to this year's program to honor it, such as a 50-foot interactive banner that commemorates the 50-year relationship between Psi Chi and SWPA. The banner will record the chapters chartered in each of the 50 years, and meeting participants will be invited to write comments about their Psi Chi experiences on the banner.

As usual, Psi Chi will sponsor the popular Psi Chi Hospitality Suite that allows students to learn more about Psi Chi, exchange ideas with members from other chapters, chat with old friends and make new ones, enjoy soft drinks and snacks, or just to sit and relax. This year, the Psi Chi Hospitality Suite is located in the Robert E. Lee Room (3rd floor) of the hotel. Hours for the suite are on Thursday from 9 am - 5 pm, Friday from 8 am - 8 pm, and Saturday from 8 am - 12 noon.
