While a typical role for psychologists in the forensic arena involves mental state assessments, psychologists can also seek other opportunities for applying their expertise. Dr. Katherine Ramsland, a.k.a., "Indie Annie Jones," has exploited psychology's value for many venues, from courtroom consulting to exhumation projects, but her expertise is psychopaths and serial killers. She will demonstrate how psychology contributes to death investigations, highlighting the methods of profiling and psychological autopsies.
