The Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture 2009 Diversity Challenge: Racial Identity and Cultural Factors in Treatment, Research and Policy Each year the Institute for the Study and Promotion of Race and Culture addresses a racial or cultural issue that could benefit from a pragmatic, scholarly, or grassroots focus through its Diversity Challenge conference. The theme of the 2009 conference is the examination of racial identity and cultural factors in treatment, research, education and policy. The two-day conference held at Boston College includes panel discussions/symposia, workshops, structured discussions, poster sessions, and individual presentations by invited experts and selected guests including educators, administrators, researchers, mental health professionals, and community organizations.
