Nominations Open
Nov. 1 for 2012-13 Board of Directors
Nominations will
be accepted beginning November 1 through December 15 for Psi Chi’s 2012-13 Board
of Directors. Offices up for election are President-Elect and Vice-Presidents of
the Midwestern, Southeastern, and Southwestern Regions.
All Psi Chi
chapters may submit one nominee for President-Elect from a list of qualified
candidates (i.e. individuals who have served as a regional vice president for at
least two years within the last ten). This list will be included in the Call for
Nominations that will go up on www.psichi.org at midnight on
November 1.
Chapters in the
Midwestern, Southeastern, and Southwestern regions are encouraged to nominate
actively involved faculty advisors for the vice-president position in their
region.
More information
and detailed nomination instructions will be posted on the website on November 1
and sent in a special nominations Digest on October
28th.

We
encourage all members to let us know what you and your chapter need in terms of
leadership information, training, and advice. Psi Chi is committed to enhancing
members’ leadership skills through programming at the six regional conventions.

Call for Papers
Deadline October 25: The 23rd Greater New York Conference on Behavioral
Research
Undergraduate
and graduate students and faculty from across Greater New York (NY, NJ, CT, PA)
in the behavioral sciences (psychology, sociology, and related fields) are
invited to submit papers for possible presentation. This annual Conference also
includes free workshops and details on student participation in the 8
professional organizations that jointly endorse it. For more details go to: www.spssi.org/ny

conference is on Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Touro Lander College for Women,

Deadline Extended to November 15, 2011: Society
for Community Research and Action at MPA
The
Society for Community Research and Action is now accepting proposals for the
2012 annual meeting of the Midwestern Psychological Association (Division 27
Affiliated Meeting). Undergraduate students are especially encouraged to apply.

Forms
Find
the latest Psi Chi forms under the new title RESOURCES (previously FORMS) on
www.psichi.org.
Most of the chapter, officer, and membership materials (along with Award and
Grant Forms) have been updated with the capability to fill in information and
save electronically. Chapters can now email the form back to the Central Office
(unless payment is required) instead of sending through the mail. Check out the
