Award Opportunities for Chapters, Advisors and Officer Teams – All Applications Due 12/1

Do you have an outstanding Psi Chi chapter? Were you a Model Chapter Award recipient for 2010-11? Could your chapter use $500? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should consider nominating your chapter for a Regional Chapter Award. Applications are due on December 1 at https://www.scholarselect.com/scholarships/2237-2011-12-regional-chapter-awards. There are a total of 6 awards available, one award per region. Each winning chapter receives a check for $500 and a plaque. Review this award’s cover sheet at http://www.psichi.org/pdf/reglchap.pdf to confirm that you qualify.

Do you have a really great faculty advisor?  Honor her or him by nominating them for the Regional Faculty Advisor Award and/or the Florence Denmark Award. The Regional program honors one outstanding advisor per region. The winning advisor in each region receives $500 and a plaque that is presented at the regional convention. The Denmark Award recognizes one outstanding advisor per year and provides travel expenses to APA to receive the award. More information about these programs can be found at http://www.psichi.org/awards/fac_adv_awards.aspx.

What about your officers? Psi Chi has a new award, the Kay Wilson Officer Team Leadership Award, which recognizes the best chapter officer team for exceptional leadership as a group. The winning application receives $1,000 for the chapter to distribute among the officers and $1,000 for the chapter. More information about submitting an application can be found at http://www.psichi.org/pdf/wilsonchap.pdf. Applications are due online by midnight on December 1 at https://www.scholarselect.com/scholarships/2225-2011-12-wilson-officer-team-leadership-award.
