Psi Chi Digest #36

12/12/2001

Thank you for helping make Psi Chi the success it has been during this past academic term. The Psi Chi National Office wishes you rest from this past semester and looks forward to an exciting spring full of events in which all members of Psi Chi can take part. Below are three announcements we would like to draw your chapter's attention to.

NEW MANAGING EDITOR OF PSI CHI JOURNAL
Warren Jones, PhD, professor of psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, has been appointed as the new managing editor of the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research. Dr. Stephen Davis, who has served as managing editor since the journal's inception in 1996, has retired from his professorship at Emporia State University, but will continue to work with the journal until the end of 2001. Beginning January 1, 2002, however, Dr. Jones will begin his role as managing editor of the journal and should receive all submissions to the journal. His contact information and the full announcement regarding his appointment may be found here.

TWO NEW MERCHANDISE ITEMS
Psi Chi wishes to announce the recent arrival of two new merchandise items. Please let all chapter members know the immediate availability of (1) golden walnut-finished wooden plaques for mounting Psi Chi certificates - $20 each, and (2) gold-plated Psi Chi women's and men's watches - $35. Pictures of both items and ordering information may be found on our website here.

REGIONAL CONVENTION DEADLINES: RMPA, SEPA (ABSTRACT)
Psi Chi would like to remind all students submitting research to the RMPA and SEPA regional conventions that January 11, 2002, is the deadline for your submissions. For SEPA submitters, the deadline for submitting your intent was October 12, 2001; the deadline for submitting your abstract is January 11, 2002.
