NATIONAL SERVICE PROJECT: UNICEF/TSUNAMI
One of Psi Chi's National Service Projects is UNICEF, who has been one of the leaders in relief efforts in response to the Southeast Asia earthquake and tsunami. Psi Chi recommends chapters devote at least one fundraising project in support of UNICEF. Collected funds will go to provide aid for relief and recovery efforts for children in SE Asia, as well as provide ongoing support (health care, nutrition, education, counseling) for children caught in armed conflicts. Funds should be mailed to the Psi Chi National Office via a check made out to the "U.S. Fund for UNICEF." Psi Chi will tally all checks and forward the donations to UNICEF. PSI CHI IN THE NEWS
With over 1,000 chapters in the United States and Canada, and nearly 500,000 members worldwide, Psi Chi impacts the world at large on a daily basis. To recognize this impact, Psi Chi has a new page listing Psi Chi chapters or members making or in the news. If you know of an article that can be added on this page, please e-mail the article's URL (e.g., www.anewswebsite.com/article) to submit@psichi.org.
