Psi Chi Digest #34

11/12/2001

Psi Chi sends this news digest to all chapters by e-mail. Please read the brief Psi Chi-related news below and forward all relevant items to your chapter's members.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS MAILED TO CHAPTERS
A Call for Nominations to nominate candidates for Psi Chi President-Elect has been mailed to all chapters. In addition, each active chapter in the Midwestern, Southeastern, and Southwestern regions will also receive a Call for Nominations to nominate a candidate for vice-president in their region. Psi Chi encourages chapters to take an active role in the national leadership of Psi Chi by nominating a candidate the chapter feels would be instrumental in continuing the great success and legacy of Psi Chi.

FALL ISSUES ONLINE
Articles from the Fall 2001 issue of Eye on Psi Chi and abstracts from the Fall 2001 issue of the Psi Chi Journal are available at no cost from the Psi Chi website. Access the contents of either issue from this starting point.

19 DAYS LEFT: DECEMBER 1 DEADLINES (POSTMARK)
December 1, 2001, is the deadline for five important Psi Chi awards. One of these awards, the Undergraduate Psychology Research Conference Grants competition, was initiated just this year. Read more about this new award, download submission forms, and more here.

NEW SUMMER GRANTS
The National Office would like to remind your chapter and its members of the two new grants programs for conducting research at Level I or II institutions during the summer of 2002: the Summer Research Grants and the NSF-REU Grants. Level I and II institutions are schools that grant the doctoral degree. Learn more about both grants here.
