May 1, 2005 is the submission deadline for four Psi Chi Awards--the new Kay Wilson Leadership Award, the Allyn & Bacon Psychology Awards, the Erlbaum Awards in Cognitive Science, and the Guilford Undergraduate Research Awards. In addition to the new Kay Wilson Leadership Award, new also this year is that you can enter your submissions online.

Learn more about each award below. Remember: you may be eligible to submit to one, both, or all three of the Allyn & Bacon, Erlbaum, and Guilford Awards, depending on your status and area of research.

Kay Wilson Leadership Award
Eligible: Chapter presidents (must be nominated by a chapter member)
Purpose: Presented for excellence in leadership of a local chapter
Amount: $500 award, travel expenses to attend the Psi Chi/APA National Convention (to receive award and make a short presentation), and engraved plaque

Allyn & Bacon Psychology Awards
Eligible: All undergraduate Psi Chi members
Purpose: To recognize the best overall empirical studies
Amount: 1st place - $1,000, 2nd place - $650, 3rd place - $350

Erlbaum Awards in Cognitive Science
Eligible: All graduate and undergraduate Psi Chi members
Purpose: To recognize the best overall empirical studies in the area of cognitive science
Amount:$500 for first-place graduate student, $500 for first-place undergraduate student
