Call for Nominations for National Officers
11/1/2005
The 2005-06 Call for Nominations for Psi Chi National Officers was mailed to Psi Chi chapters on or before November 1, 2005. Be sure your chapter obtains a copy of the form, so that it may submit its nominations for national officers. All chapters may nominate a candidate for President-Elect from the list of candidates who qualify for this position by having served at least two full years (within the last 10 years) as a regional vice-president. The list of eligible candidates is sent with the call.
In addition to President-Elect, chapters in three regions (Midwest, Southeast, and Southwest--see regional map) may nominate an actively involved Psi Chi faculty advisor for the vice-president position in their region. To be eligible for nomination as a candidate for regional vice-president, the candidate should meet the following requirements:
- The candidate must be a member of Psi Chi and should be an actively involved Psi Chi faculty advisor who has contributed to the Psi Chi chapter on a local and regional basis for several years.
- The candidate must be willing and able to carry out the duties of the office, including planning and conducting the Psi Chi program at the candidate's respective regional annual convention.
- The candidate must be affiliated with a chapter located in one of the candidate's respective region's states (see map).
Excerpts from the Psi Chi Constitution are provided here concerning the offices of President-Elect and Regional Vice-Presidents.
