CALL FOR NOMINATIONS MAILED TO CHAPTERS
A Call for Nominations to nominate candidates for Psi Chi National President-Elect has just been mailed to chapters. In addition, chapters in the Midwest, Southeast, and Southwest Regions will also receive a Call for Nominations to nominate a candidate for vice-president in their region. Psi Chi encourages chapters to take an active role in the national leadership of Psi Chi by nominating a candidate the chapter feels would be instrumental in continuing the great success and legacy of Psi Chi.

WRITE CHAPTER BYLAWS
Psi Chi Chapter Bylaws are very important in the operations of your chapter. Each chapter should complete its own Chapter Bylaws in order to be fair and uniform in the way it handles difficult situations. Typically, chapters have the most concerns about how to remove chapter officers, as the simplest way to deal with this issue is to previously lay out a course of action by writing Chapter Bylaws. Psi Chi provides Model Chapter Bylaws as a guideline for many of the items your chapter needs to address for itself. UPDATE: NEW MEMBERSHIP CARDS
In the Fall issue of Eye on Psi Chi, the National Office announced that new membership cards would be available fall of 2005. The redesigned cards will feature a new four-color design on a thicker quality card. However, due to production scheduling problems, the new membership cards will not be available until December 1, 2005. We apologize for the inconvenience, but cannot wait until our members see the new card design, which is worth the wait! As a reminder, new cards will be available to order for $2.00 each:

AWARDS DEADLINE: DECEMBER 1
The deadline for four important Psi Chi awards is December 1, 2005. This awards deadline includes awards for advisor and chapter recognition, and for the best research submitted to the 2006 APA and APS National Conventions. New this year is that up to eight $500 awards (in addition to eight $300 undergraduate awards) will be awarded to graduate-level students at the national conventions. For more information:
