ELECT NEW OFFICERS FOR FOLLOWING YEAR
If your chapter hasn't already done so, the National Office encourages you to elect new officers for the upcoming 2006-07 year. Why so far in advance? We want your chapter to experience a smooth transition from year to year. However, the number one problem from chapters nationwide is exactly the opposite: chapters NOT having a smooth transition. Many chapters report on how last year's officers are gone, and the current officers don't know what to do. Instead, provide a smooth transition for your chapter by electing next year's officers in December or January, and have them come alongside this year's officers to learn their responsibilities for the coming year.

APA is recruiting college faculty and students to conduct 45- to 60-minute presentations about the science of psychology to middle school and high school students.
