JAN 15/FEB 1 DEADLINE: 4 AWARDS + 2 GRANTS
There are only a few days left to submit your application for the new APA Science Directorate Internship Grant as the deadline is January 15, 2006. After this deadline, there are 4 awards (Bandura Graduate Research Award, Cousins National Chapter Award, Newman Graduate Research Award, and Chapter Website Awards) and 1 new grant opportunity–the FBI NCAVC Internship Grant–whose submission deadline is February 1, 2006. You need not be a member of Psi Chi to apply for the Newman Award as all psychology graduate-level students are eligible. More information, guidelines, and submission form links are here:
MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT: BROCHURES & POSTERS
For use in membership recruitment, copies of the Psi Chi brochure and poster may be ordered by chapters at no cost. Only faculty advisors and chapter officers may submit orders for these specific publications. Images and information on how to order brochures or posters may be found here:
NEW EYE ISSUE ONLINE
Articles from the recent Winter 2006 issue of Eye on Psi Chi are now featured online. Articles include research ethics, the application process in graduate admissions, and making Psi Chi accessible to distance education students. All articles are also categorized by subject.
UPDATE CHAPTER WEBSITES
When was the last time you updated your chapter website? Chapters should appoint an officer or member to gather the most recent chapter information and ensure your website is updated regularly. If your chapter does not have a website, Psi Chi encourages you to appoint a member or committee to create such a site (browse current Psi Chi websites and award winners for ideas).
