FEB 1 AWARDS DEADLINE
Submissions to the Bandura Award, Cousins National Chapter Award, FBI NCAVC Grant, Newman Award, and Website Awards programs are due February 1, 2007. Newman Award applicants need not be a member of Psi Chi to apply as all psychology graduate-level students are eligible. More information about each award and submission links can be found here:

CHAPTER REMINDER: REGISTERING NEW MEMBERS
The National Office recommends your chapter mail its new member registration materials at least 3 weeks before your spring induction ceremony. Doing so will enable your chapter to receive its new member certificates, cards, and lapel pins in time for new member inductions and avoid paying rush fees. Guidelines for identifying and inducting new members are listed here:

BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK
The Psi Chi National Council encourages Psi Chi chapters to participate in Brain Awareness Week (BAW) from March 12-17, 2007. BAW was developed to "advance public awareness about the progress and benefits of brain research." Chapters might consider developing programs for their campus or visiting local schools to present about brain-related psychological research. Read more about BAW here:
