May 1, 2007 is the submission deadline for four Psi Chi Awards: the Allyn & Bacon Psychology Awards, the Erlbaum Awards in Cognitive Science, the Guilford Undergraduate Research Awards, and the Kay Wilson Leadership Award. Learn more about each award below.

Remember: you may or may not be eligible to submit to one, both, or all three of the Allyn & Bacon, Erlbaum, and Guilford Awards, depending on your status and area of research.

Allyn & Bacon Psychology Awards
Eligible: All undergraduate Psi Chi members
Purpose: To recognize the best overall empirical studies
Amount: $1,000 (1st), $650 (2nd), and $350 (3rd)

Erlbaum Awards in Cognitive Science
Eligible: All graduate and undergraduate Psi Chi members
Purpose: To recognize the best overall empirical studies in the area of cognitive science
Amount: $500 (1st - graduate student) and $500 (1st - undergraduate student)

Guilford Undergraduate Research Awards
Eligible: All undergraduate Psi Chi members
Purpose: To recognize the best psychology research papers
Amount: $1,000 (1st), $650 (2nd), and $350 (3rd)

Kay Wilson Leadership Award
Eligible: Chapter presidents (must be nominated by a chapter member)
Purpose: Presented for excellence in leadership of a local chapter
Amount: $500 award, travel expenses to attend the Psi Chi/APA National Convention (to receive award and make a short presentation), and engraved plaque
