Students from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply. The application deadline is March 3, 2008. For more information visit http://www.apa.org/science/ssf.html

Psi Beta Ruth Hubbard Cousins Building Bonds Collaboration Award
Psi Beta, National Honor Society in Psychology for Community & Junior Colleges, has introduced a new award to recognize a successful collaboration between a Psi Beta chapter and a Psi Chi chapter. The award is given for a collaborative project that has a significant impact at the local, state, regional, or national level. The collaborative efforts may focus on scholarship, leadership, research, and/or community service. Two plaques will be given, one to the Psi Beta chapter and one to the Psi Chi chapter. This is an opportunity to form a partnership with a chapter from our sister honor society. For more information about the award, see the Psi Beta website: http://www.psibeta.org/

ACHS/WASHINGTON INTERNSHIP INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP
The Washington Internship Institute (WII) offers internship opportunities in government agencies, nonprofits, and businesses in Washington, DC, each year. Interns spend four days a week at an internship and one day a week in classes bridging theory and practice. Psi Chi members are eligible for a $500 merit-based scholarship cosponsored by the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and WII. The deadlines for the summer internships are February 15, 2008 (early deadline) and March 17, 2008 (regular deadline).
