2008 ELECTION: PSI CHI NATIONAL COUNCILBallot information and instructions on how to vote online for the candidates for the 2008-09 Psi Chi National Council is available on the Psi Chi Website. Your chapter's vote is important as it determines the leadership of Psi Chi and thus Psi Chi policy. The deadline to submit your chapter’s vote is March 15, 2008. Both programs fund undergraduate Psi Chi members for the purpose of conducting summer research. The deadlines for the Summer Research Grants and the APS Summer Research Grants are March 1. http://www.psichi.org/awards/completelist_awards.aspACHS/WASHINGTON INTERNSHIP INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIPThe Washington Internship Institute (WII) offers internship opportunities in government agencies, nonprofits, and businesses in Washington, DC, each year. Interns spend four days a week at an internship and one day a week in classes bridging theory and practice. Psi Chi members are eligible for a $500 merit-based scholarship cosponsored by the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS) and WII. The deadlines for the Fall Semester 2008 are May 2, 2008 (competitive deadline) and June 13, 2008. For more information, visit the ACHS/WII website at:

This is important information for Chapters, especially, if a Chapter is sending in an expedited order. You may want to send the information through our website by paying with a credit card or through another venue, such as Fed Ex, UPS, or DHL. If you use a courier, delivery must occur before noon in order for the request to be considered as processed the same day. Do not simply send the information via the US Mail to the street address, as this will not be delivered to the National Office until after 3:00 p.m. The delay in the receipt of mail by Psi Chi will result in an additional day’s turn around time for members and merchandise orders sent to the National Office.
