NATIONAL COUNCIL ELECTION RESULTS
Results are in for Psi Chi's National Council for the upcoming 2008-09 academic year. Elected members are as follows: President-Elect Alvin Wang, PhD, University of Central Florida - Burnett Honors College (FL); Southeastern Regional Vice-President Maria Lavooy, PhD University of Central Florida at Cocoa (FL); Midwestern Regional Vice-President Betsy L. Morgan, PhD, University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (WI); and Southwestern Regional Vice-President Randall Osborne, PhD, Texas State University - San Marcos (TX).

Psi Chi also announces the hiring of new Executive Director, Martha Zlokovich, Ph.D. who will begin July 1, 2008.

AWARDS DEADLINE: APRIL 1, 2008
This is the last week for submissions for the Kay Wilson Leadership Award, (the April 1st date is an online submission deadline).

THREE AWARDS: DEADLINE IS MAY 1, 2008
Three Psi Chi Awards—the Allyn & Bacon, Erlbaum and Guilford Awards—are all due May 1, 2008. All submissions are to be entered online. Review eligibility, guidelines, and more about these awards here.

Psi Beta Ruth Hubbard Cousins Building Bonds Collaboration Award: Deadline is JUNE, 1, 2008
Psi Beta, National Honor Society in Psychology for Community & Junior Colleges, has introduced a new award to recognize a successful collaboration between a Psi Beta chapter and a Psi Chi chapter. The collaborative efforts may focus on scholarship, leadership, research, and/or community service. Psi Beta will award two plaques to the winning partnership—one to the Psi Beta chapter and one to the Psi Chi chapter. This is an opportunity to form a partnership with a chapter from our sister honor society. For more information about the award, see the Psi Beta website.

GRADUATION REGALIA ORDERS
Graduation is just around the corner for many Psi Chi seniors. Please remember that orders can take up to 15 business days to be received by the chapter. Ordering early can eliminate the need to pay additional rush shipping charges and allows members to have regalia before graduation photo appointments.
