2009 ELECTION & CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS: PSI CHI NATIONAL COUNCIL
Chapters will have the opportunity to vote in the 2009 Election and to place their vote from February 1, 2009–March 15, 2009 on the two proposed constitutional amendments.
Chapters should hold a meeting to determine their position on the two proposed constitutional amendments and the nominee(s) for whom the chapter will cast its vote.
Chapters then need to log onto the Psi Chi website at http://www.psichi.org/chapters/login.asp?redir=/chapters/vote.asp using the chapter administration login and password. Once logged onto the site, the administrator will have the opportunity to enter the chapter’s vote on both of the constitutional amendments. In addition, each chapter will have the opportunity to vote for one candidate for President-Elect of the Psi Chi National Council. Chapters in the Eastern, Rocky Mountain and Western Region will have the opportunity to vote for a Regional Vice-President.
If a chapter is in need of the login or password information, the faculty advisor may contact the Psi Chi National Office.
Each chapter's vote is important as it determines the Psi Chi Constitution and leadership of Psi Chi and thus Psi Chi policy. The deadline to return the electronic ballot is March 15, 2009.
NATIONAL OFFICE DATABASE CONVERSION
The Psi Chi National Office will be converting its national database February 7 & 8, 2009. The new database is designed for greater efficiency and to better work with the website. You may continue to submit new members, grants and awards, chapter reports and publications submissions during this time. However, processing of these items will not occur until after Monday, February 9th. Please refrain from updating personal or chapter records during this period to avoid any possible loss of information.
NATIONAL OFFICE WEBSITE CONVERSION
The Psi Chi National Office will be converting its website (www.psichi.org) March 2–6, 2009. The revised website will be more user friendly and updated regularly with photos of chapters and members. Please do not attempt to enter members during this time period, as your entries may be lost with the conversion of data.
Additionally, the conversion will begin at 8:00 am EST, Monday, March 2, 2009, and end at 5:00 pm EST, Friday, March 6, 2009. If you need to submit members to the National Office, please submit prior to Friday. February 27 or wait until after Friday, March 6.
