Psi Chi Website
The Psi Chi National Office will be unveiling the redesigned Psi Chi Website on March 3, 2009 at 9:00 am Eastern time. The National Office hopes that you will find the new website easier to navigate and will use it frequently. The website address remains unchanged: www.psichi.org
The National Office would like to encourage chapters to submit photos from Chapter Activities, including conferences for publication on the website. Please send photos with descriptions to the Website Activity Report.
If logged in as a member or chapter, pdf downloads of Journal and Eye on Psi Chi articles are free. The charge is $1 per download for visitors to the site not logged in as a member or chapter. If a members or chapters need their logon and password they may send a request to the National Office at: http://www.psichi.org/SignIn.aspx and click on the "Click here if you are a Psi Chi member and need to create a logon" link at the bottom of the page.
Usernames and passwords are the same as on the old website, so if you already know your logon information, you do not need to request it again.
2009 Psi Chi Voting
Chapters have the opportunity to vote in the 2009 Election (until March 15, 2009) and to place their vote on the two proposed constitutional amendments (until April 1, 2009).
Chapters should hold a meeting to determine the chapter's position on the two proposed constitutional amendments and the nominee(s) for whom the chapter will cast its vote. Once the chapter has decided its vote, the faculty advisor should log on to the Psi Chi website using the chapter administration login and password and place the chapter's vote for each proposed amendment.
Chapters then need to log onto the Psi Chi website using the chapter administration login and password. You do not have to log on by selecting chapter admin. The new website will know from your username and password if you are a member or a chapter administrator.
Once logging onto the site as the chapter administrator, each chapter will have the opportunity to vote on each of the constitutional amendments. Each chapter will have the opportunity to vote for one candidate for President Elect of the Psi Chi National Council. Chapters in the Eastern, Rocky Mountain and Western Region will have the opportunity to vote for a regional vice-president.
If a chapter is in need of the login or password information, the faculty advisor may contact the Psi Chi National Office. Please note that your chapter administrator username and password have not changed. You will be able to log in to the new website with the same username and password as before.
Each chapter's vote is important as it determines the Psi Chi Constitution and leadership of Psi Chi and thus Psi Chi policy. The deadline to return the electronic ballot is March 15, 2009.
Constitutional Amendments
Chapters will have the opportunity to vote on the 2 proposed Constitutional Amendments until April 1, 2009.
Chapters should hold a meeting to determine the chapter's position on the two proposed constitutional amendments and the nominee(s) that the chapter will cast its vote.
