ELECTION & CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT RESULTS
Psi Chi welcomes our newest members of the Psi Chi National Council, Michael Hall, PhD, serving as President Elect, and Eric Landrum, PhD, serving as Rocky Mountain Regional Vice-President. The National Office would also like to congratulate Ngoc Bui, PhD, Western Regional Vice-President and Jason Young, PhD, Eastern Regional Vice-President; both were re-elected to their positions for a second term on the National Council.
Thank you to all of the chapters that took the time to consider the two Constitutional Amendments that were voted upon recently. Both amendments were passed. The National Leadership Conference will be formatted differently to be available to more members across all regions. The Psi Chi National Council will begin working on the changes and more information will be forthcoming. The second amendment changes the name of Psi Chi, The National Honor Society in Psychology. Psi Chi will now officially be known as Psi Chi , The International Honor Society in Psychology. Please be aware that it will take time for all of our documents, merchandise and website to be updated to reflect this change.
REMINDER: MAY 1 AWARDS DEADLINE
Don't forget to submit for the Allyn & Bacon, Erlbaum, and Guilford Awards. All submissions must be entered online by May 1, 2009. Review eligibility, guidelines, award amounts, and more.
PSI CHI ORDERS: DELIVERY TIME
Please allow 15 business days from the date the National Office receives your order for new members' certificates or merchandise. You can speed up the process by either submitting orders online and paying with a credit card or paypal (or both) or having the National Office expedite your order back to you for an additional $30 (AK/HI: $35; unavailable outside the U.S.).
