2007 NLC Purpose
In 2005, Psi Chi chapters voted to amend
Article VII, Section 4 of the
Psi Chi Constitution to
"hold a National Leadership Conference (NLC) every two years in conjunction with its Mid-Winter meeting."The Psi Chi National Council is pleased to announce that it will hold the first Psi Chi National Leadership Conference (NLC) for Psi Chi chapter presidents, presidents-elect, and faculty advisors on January 5–7, 2007.
The
goal of the NLC is to provide workshops, keynote speakers, and interactive sessions:
- that help Psi Chi chapter presidents develop leadership skills that will enable them to be effective leaders of their chapter and in the profession, and,
- that help Psi Chi faculty advisors enhance their leadership skills and expand their impact on psychology education.
National Council members are very excited about this new initiative and encourage chapter presidents, presidents-elect, and faculty advisors to participate in this professional development opportunity.
