Psi Chi Funding (
Sep 21, 2006 Update: "Psi Chi Funding No Longer Available"): For the first 60 eligible chapter presidents, presidents-elect, or faculty advisors who register for the conference, Psi Chi will pay for the hotel room and room tax (double occupancy), reimburse the registrant for travel up to $500 (registrant must provide a receipt for airfare, train fare, or bus fare, or a record of mileage), and provide two MARTA rapid-transit tickets for transportation between the airport and the Dunwoody MARTA Station. The hotel provides free shuttle service between the Dunwoody Station and the hotel. Psi Chi will notify registrants about funding no later than October 16, 2006.
To be eligible for Psi Chi funding, participants must be from chapters beyond a 100-mile radius of Atlanta and must attend the entire conference. Psi Chi funding is limited to one president or president-elect and one faculty advisor per chapter.
Conference participants who are funded by Psi Chi are responsible for arranging their own travel to the conference; paying the conference registration fee; and paying for all incidental charges to their hotel rooms, travel expenses that exceed $500, meals that are not included in the NLC, and all other expenses associated with their attendance at the NLC.
Nonfunded Participants: Chapter presidents or presidents-elect and advisors who live within a 100-mile radius of Atlanta, GA and other chapter presidents or presidents-elect and advisors who are not funded by Psi Chi are welcome to attend the conference but must pay the registration fee and all other expenses associated with attending the conference. Space is limited for nonfunded participants so registrants are encouraged to send their registration early. Also, please note that chapters are limited to no more than two participants (one chapter president or president elect and one faculty advisor), whether the participants receive funding from Psi Chi or pay their own way. Psi Chi will provide additional information to nonfunded registrants no later than October 16, 2006.
Hotel Reservations: Psi Chi will make hotel reservations for all participants, whether they receive Psi Chi funding or pay their own way, at the Crowne Plaza Atlanta Perimeter NW hotel. Participants should not make their own reservations at the hotel.
Cancellation Policy: The deadline for cancellations with a full refund of the registration fee is November 1, 2006 for all participants, whether funded by Psi Chi or not. Registration fees will not be refunded for cancellations after this date. Cancellations must be in writing and should include the address to which the refund should be sent.
