 Psi Chi Distinguished Lecture
Technology, Psychology, and Religion: From Surveys to Attachments and God
Some data suggest that technology may be displacing God. Are people becoming more attached to their phones than to their deities? Is belief in God the ultimate virtual reality experience? Dr. Nielsen offers an overview of the ways that technology is useful for studying religion, and what attachment theory and other perspectives suggest about the similarities of technology and religion.
