FAQ: Publications
Q: As a new member, what Psi Chi publications will I receive?
All active Psi Chi members receive complimentary copies of our magazine Eye on Psi Chi by distribution through their chapters. If members wish to have the magazine mailed to their home address, they may order a subscription for $15 per year. Click here for further information on publications, or refer to the Chapter Handbook. One complimentary copy of the Psi Chi Journal of Undergraduate Research is provided to each chapter. Individual members may order the quarterly journal for $20 per year; institutional subscriptions are $40 per year. You may subscribe to Psi Chi's publications
online, or download subscription forms for the Psi Chi Journal or the Eye on Psi Chi.
Q: When will my chapter receive the next issue of Eye on Psi Chi?
The summer issue should arrive by the end of May, the fall issue by early September, the winter issue by the end of November, and the spring issue by end of February.
Q: How do I submit information or pictures to be published in Eye on Psi Chi?
Chapter activities and the names of new officers and advisors may be submitted online, email the Eye on Psi Chi editor, or mailed to the Psi Chi Central Office (download form here). Psi Chi's quarterly deadlines for your chapter's submission to Eye on Psi Chi are as follows:
June 15 - Fall issue
October 15 - Winter issue
December 15 - Spring issue
February 15 - Summer issue
Items received after these submission dates will be published in the following issue. Photographs may be submitted in either color or black & white. Digital or scanned photos may be sent by email to the Eye on Psi Chi editor, but be sure to send high-resolution shots; low-resolution photos, which look fine on a computer, are not suitable for printing purposes. Also, please try to take good photos to begin with and make your shots as unique and interesting as possible.
Q: When will I see my name listed as a new member?
The new member list available on the Psi Chi website is derived from those members registered at the Central Office during the time frame listed at the beginning of the list. Even though members may have been inducted during this time frame, if the names have not been sent by the chapter to the Central Office during that time, Psi Chi is not able to add them to the website. The names of new members is derived from our database of names submitted during the specified time period.
Q: How do we correct the number of copies our chapter receives?
Request the correct number of copies needed on the registration form or by email to the Central Office. If your chapter is receiving too many or too few copies, please contact us immediately to request the correct number of copies.
