Rocky Mountain Regional Spring 2013 Letter

Greetings fellow Psi Chi advisors,

I hope that your spring semester is going well so far. I have some Rocky Mountain Psychological Association (RMPA) news and opportunities that I would like you to pass on to your students who are planning to attend.

  1. Tell your students about the Leadership Training opportunity at RMPA this spring in Denver: Psi Chi is sponsoring this exciting leadership training opportunity for ALL STUDENTS attending RMPA. On the first day of the conference, Thursday, April 11, 2013, we will have the Catalyst Leadership Training from LeaderShape. The training will run from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and is an all-day commitment. This training will be free to the first 60 students who sign up and will include a light breakfast and lunch as well as a certificate at the end of the training. Students can register at this link: https://coloradomesasbs.us.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_9NO6usvzjASm3mR

  2. Travel grants are also available to Psi Chi students planning to attend RMPA. Presenting research is desirable but not required. The applications are due March 8. To apply or for more information use this link: http://www.psichi.org/regions/rockymtn/TravelGrantInfo.aspx

  3. I would also like to reissue my invitation to you and all of your student Psi Chi members to join our Rocky Mountain Region Psi Chi Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/groups/149411341813850/. I have appreciated all of the feedback sent through the Facebook page, and I hope that the regional announcements and reminders have been helpful to you as well.

Looking forward to seeing you in Denver,

Susan Becker, PhD
