Requests for study participants may only be posted to the Psi Chi studies page if the following criteria have been met:
The individual posting the study must be one of the principal investigators (PI) of the study and a Psi Chi member.
In addition, the study must be affiliated with an accredited institute of higher education.
The study must have direct relevance to the discipline of psychology.
The research must have been approved by research ethics review process at one of the PI’s institutions and meet all applicable standards for the ethics of experimentation and research integrity (including APA’s standards: http://www.apa.org/ethics/code/index.aspx?item=11).
Psi Chi retains the right to request full documentation regarding institution review regarding the protection of human participants review and approval. In addition, a study abstract and author list may be requested.
Informed consent information must be provided to a respondent before any data is gathered from the respondent. In addition, the posting should indicate that the study has been reviewed in regards to ethical research. All information must be presented in standard English and in an intelligible fashion.
At the conclusion of the study, respondents should be able to request results and debriefings should be provided (if warranted).
Postings will remain on the site for 6 weeks. Psi Chi retains the right to remove the posting of any study for any reason.
