Foster a Five-Star Chapter
The bigger your chapter becomes, the greater its impact can be for its members and others in your community. Please start your recruitment drives as soon as possible so that interested students can join and receive membership benefits (e.g., leadership experience and access to awards and grants) earlier this year than ever. To attract new members, consider making posters, giving classroom announcements, handing out flyers, or e-mailing potential members.

A few tips. When recruiting, always provide a hard deadline and follow up with prospective members before that date to increase your response rate. Also, make sure to print or attach the following resources to answer any questions.

Undergraduate Scholarships
Let potential members know about our Psi Chi Undergraduate Scholarships! Our first four annual winners are Carissa Jahnz, Celine Brooks, John Benicasco, and Karrie Quirin. We look forward to helping more students fulfill their dreams of a future psychology degree; the next applications are due June 30, 2016.

  Publications 101

We are working hard to implement many great suggestions made in Psi Chi’s recent Publications Survey. Here are answers to three popular questions.

1. How do I access Psi Chi publications? You can manage your subscriptions to receive e-mails for all three publications HERE.
Psi Chi Digest is our biweekly e-mail about Psi Chi programs and updates; you’re reading the Digest right now.
Eye on Psi Chi magazine includes articles and interviews with experts about graduate school, career advice, and popular psychology topics. Peruse past issues online or enjoy our interactive digital format where you can select Archives in the upper left corner to view additional issues.
Psi Chi Journal publishes peer-reviewed empirical articles written by Psi Chi members. Review article abstracts for past issues online, and remember to log in with your Psi Chi account so that you can download all articles for free. You can also subscribe for a print edition.
2. How to I find articles relevant to me? Search for articles by category or author with our new Publication Search feature.

3. How do I submit an article? View instructions for the Journal and Eye on Psi Chi.

Latest Journal Arrives
Satisfy your thirst for knowledge by reading the Fall 20.3 Issue of Psi Chi Journal of Psychological Research. Two of seven illuminating articles are “Do We Have Fun When Time Flies?” and “Effects of Career-Oriented Information on Romantic Desirability.” Complementary copies are on the way to your chapter’s current mailing address, or you may download a free copy HERE with your Psi Chi login. Popular subject areas in this issue include cognitive, experimental, gender, personality, social psychology, and more.
