The Central Office Is Relocating

The Central Office is relocating to a new office space across town and will be temporarily closed for Labor Day week (September 5-9). Our new street address will be: 651 East 4th Street, Suite 600, Chattanooga, TN 37403. However, please continue to mail all membership registration checks to PO Box 709, Chattanooga, TN 37401. Rest assured, we promise to return any missed communications, process pending membership registrations, and ship all store orders as soon as the transition is complete.

Advisor Calls Proceeding as Scheduled

We have enjoyed speaking with many of our advisors about their chapters and any new ways we might be able to support our members. If you haven’t already received a phone call from us, then we should be in touch within the next few months.

Are Your Demographic Questions All-Inclusive?

Our latest Fall 21.3 Issue of Psi Chi Journal features an invited editorial with 18 examples of how to correctly phrase the demographics questions in your personal research; consider using this teaching tool in your classrooms. Popular subject areas of the seven empirical studies in this issue are clinical, educational, and social.

Members and nonmembers alike can now download any article for free with a single click. Explore Past Issues or search by Category or Author.

New Deadline—Chapter Activities
Chapter Activities reports are due September 30. Make sure you or one of your officers tells us what your chapter did to get off to a great start this year! Activity reports will be published in Eye on Psi Chi magazine. Our new submissions format allows you to pick one to three events or topics to expand upon and share with other chapters. Encourage your officers to submit often.

Lighten Your Load
Update your officers in our online system. This grants them additional privileges appropriate to their membership role such as access to the Officer Admin page and the ability to submit Chapter Activities reports mentioned above.

Advisors, Care to Weigh in?
Dr. Eric Landrum (Psi Chi President-Elect) recently presented an interesting question on our new Advisor Forum: How can Psi Chi extend the benefits of convention programming to individuals who are not able to attend? Please post your ideas (advisor login required).

Seeking Contributors: EAMMi2

The Emerging Adulthood Measured at Multiple Institutions project invites researchers to contribute local samples (80 < N < 150) to an online survey that replicates and extends research questions about Emerging Adulthood. Instructors and their students could use this as course-based research. Visit the EAMMi2 project page or long invitation.

Participate in The Pipeline Project 2
The Pipeline Project 2 is recruiting graduate and undergraduate methods classes to conduct student replications of unpublished findings volunteered by the original authors. Course instructors and students will receive coauthorship on the final project report. If interested, please see HERE.

With each edition of the Digest, you get important news,
announcements, and upcoming convention information from the Psi Chi Central Office.
