Have You Told Your Students?
A little encouragement from an esteemed chapter advisor or officer is an effective way to get members involved in upcoming Psi Chi programs. Please take a moment to tell your students about our eight $3,000 Undergraduate Scholarships (due July 5) and eight $3,000 Graduate Scholarships (due July 15)—your members will thank you later!

Here's a template letter you can share. Also, do you believe that all students should be able to afford a college education? We do too! Consider fund-raising with your chapter this fall to support future Psi Chi programs like these.

Last Call for Advisor Feedback
If you haven't completed our 2016–17 Advisor Survey via phone or online, please do so by Friday, June 9. The Board of Directors and staff look forward to reviewing your questions and suggestions during next week's Board meeting in Chattanooga.

Promote Your School's Graduate Programs
Psi Chi is now accepting advertising in our journal, magazine, e-mail digest, and on the Psi Chi website. This allows you to connect with top-performing psychology majors and minors, often before they have joined any other professional organization. View our rate sheets.

  • APAGS/Psi Chi Junior Scientist Fellowships ($12,000 total; June 30) provide support for students entering their first year, or the first semester of their second year, of a research-oriented graduate program.
  • Division 52/Psi Chi Travel Grant ($1,500; June 30) assists a student currently studying outside of the United States with travel expenses to the upcoming APA convention in Washington, DC.
  • Faculty Advisor Research Grants ($12,000 total; July 1) support faculty advisor research projects. Preference is given to proposals that convey how students might benefit from the project.

Join Us in Supporting Transparent Research
To encourage open and reliable research practices, Psi Chi Journal is proud to announce a Call for Abstracts for potential manuscripts to be published in a special issue. The purpose of this special issue is to feature Open Practices Badges, which reward student and faculty authors for providing Open Materials and Open Data, Preregistering their research, and/or conducting Replication studies.

Do you have an upcoming research project in any area of psychology that would qualify for one or more of these badges? Abstracts are due June 30, and the special issue is anticipated for publication in early 2018. Learn more about submitting your abstract.

Preserve Your Chapter Accomplishments
Did you participate in chapter meetings, fund-raisers, or conferences this academic year? Please submit to Psi Chi's Chapter Activities so that your recent photos and brief descriptions can be published in an upcoming issue of Eye on Psi Chi magazine. Deadline: June 30.

You're the Best!
Psi Chi wouldn't exist without dedicated advisors and officers like you. Thank you for Giving Back to Psi Chi; we are closer than ever to achieving our mission of recognizing and promoting excellence in science and application of psychology. Have a wonderful summer!
