2016–17 Model Chapter Award Winners
Missouri Western State University
This year, our chapter worked in conjunction with Noyes Home for Children hosting game nights so that their residents could spend time with college students. The chapter held two inductions with featured speakers, raised funds with Pie the Professor, along with hosting Ted Talks events, breakfast with professors, and a graduate school forum.

Nova Southeastern University (FL)
During the 2016-17 school year, the Nova Southeastern University Chapter of Psi Chi inducted 129 new undergraduate and graduate members. Students participated in a candle ceremony and formal induction of new members with the keynote speaker cognitive psychologist Dr. Jonathan Banks. In addition, our members presented research at APA and SPSP, and donated time to the Feeding South Florida organization.

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
Through passionate outreach, academic engagement both in the classroom and beyond, and our shared excitement for psychology, our Psi Chi Chapter here at Virginia Tech seeks to create a welcoming environment within our community to share the passion we hold for the field while also working to educate, inspire and care for our fellow human kind.

Saint Mary's University of Minnesota
The Psi Chi Chapter at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota is devoted to Psi Chi’s mission statement and vision goals. We have challenged our members in scholarly pursuit, member development, and creating chapter and member experiences. For the 2016-17 school year, we had weekly research, education presentations at local schools, and members attending the Midwestern Psychological Association Convention. For this upcoming school year, we are more committed to challenging our members to advance the science of psychology.

University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus
Since the year of 2008, our chapter has grown and progressed significantly by promoting the importance of leadership. Within every activity, the purpose to learn and create connections is and will always be present. It is a complete honor for us to receive this award as a Model Chapter. We intend to continue to lead students to include the goal of excellence in their academic and professional life.
