Why Take the Chapter Challenge?

WHY TAKE THE CHAPTER CHALLENGE?

The Fall 2019 Psi Chi Chapter Challenge is a friendly international competition between chapters. From November 1 to December 3, chapters will raise funds as a team in order to support member programs like Psi Chi awards, grants, and scholarships.

Special prizes will be presented to the top three individual, student fundraisers. The top fundraising team will also be recognized. Plus, Psi Chi will give back 10% of the total your chapter raises as part of the Challengemoney your chapter can use to support a project, speaker, or other activity.

We want the Challenge to be interactive and match your personal interests. You can fundraise directly, using sample materials that we will provide. You can host a service project to collect proceeds for the Challenge. Or both. Giving Back in multiple ways will allow you find out what works best for you.

Will you take the Chapter Challenge? Now it's easier than ever:

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

Encourage your chapter advisor, officers, and fellow members to take the Challenge with you. Each member of your chapter who wishes to take part should visit HERE.

  • Download the Chapter Challenge Toolkit. This document contains ideas to make the challenge work for your chapter. Share it with fellow participants.
  • Let potential donors know how proud you are to be a Psi Chi member and why you think it’s important to support Psi Chi member programs with donations. For example, share about your experiences in the Psi Chi/Born This Way Foundation partnership.
  • Choose a team captain to lead your team. Being a team captain is a great leadership role to support Psi Chi and your chapter. Consider volunteering!
  • Feel free to personalize your personal fundraising page. This page can be sent via social media and/or email to your friends, colleagues, and family. Send to at least 10 people.
  • Take pictures of all the ways your chapter serves your school and community. These pictures and stories would be great to share with those you appeal to for donations.

If you have questions or need help, please contact Cynthia Wilson. This is a terrific way to Give Back to Psi Chi, your favorite honor society. Make sure that your chapter takes the Chapter Challenge today!
