We hope you apply for a Model Chapter Award (MCA).

Why participate? The MCA recognizes 50 outstanding chapters with $100 awards and official certificates. MCAs look great on officer and advisors' CVs and resumés, plus chapters that receive an MCA will be eligible to apply for one of six $500 Regional Chapter Awards next year. Receiving an MCA fulfills an eligibility criteria for the Denmark and Regional Faculty Advisor Awards too.

The MCA was recently streamlined to include just nine easy objectives for your chapter leadership team to perform throughout the year. In the coming months, we're going to guide you through each step, starting today:

Step 1—Begin With a Plan
Utilize teamwork within your chapter by creating and accomplishing specific, attainable goals for the year ahead. Here's a chapter goals worksheet that your officer team can download. Please fill it out during your first meeting of the academic year and then be one of the first to share your chapter's goals online. These three articles provide additional advice:

Step 2—Register Your Officers Online
Advisors, if you haven't already, visit psichi.org to update your current officer roster and faculty advisor contact information. Officers who are registered will receive e-mails about their unique responsibilities and access to the Officer Admin webpage.

Need help updating your officers? Here's a brand-new tutorial video.

Completion of all nine MCA objectives are due May 15. We hope you will make earning the MCA one of your goals this year!
