Faculty Advisor Research Grants

Purpose

To support Psi Chi faculty advisor research by funding the direct costs of a project.

Budget

The annual budget for this program is $14,000. Individual grants are up to $2,000.

Deadline

Applications are due to the application portal by July 1.

Elizabeth Becker, PhD

Saint Joseph's University

Elizabeth A. Becker is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Director of Behavioral Neuroscience at Saint Joseph’s University. She is affiliate faculty at the Kinney Center for Autism. She examines how early-life experience, including parental care and drug use modulates neuroendocrine systems involved in the regulation of social behavior.

Sarah Sass, PhD

The University of Texas at Tyler

Sarah M. Sass is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at the University of Texas at Tyler. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in clinical psychology. Her research interests regard mechanisms, treatment, and prevention of anxiety and depression.
