What are your hobbies?
Hula hooping, geocaching, and anything related to cats.

What is the best trip you’ve ever taken?
I love to travel but my hometown of Spokane, Washington remains my favorite place.

What is your favorite food?
Candy and ice cream! I have a major sweet tooth.

What sort of student were you?
The eager band kid who sat in the front row and did homework early. Was not voted most popular.

Who is favorite psychologist?
 Aaron Beck, creator of Cognitive Therapy.

What are three words that best describe you?
Enthusiastic, caring, and cat-loving!

What is your favorite class to teach?
An undergraduate psychology class I created called Helping Skills. It’s beautiful to watch my students practice conveying empathy and understanding to those in pain.

What is the last book you read?
Talking as Fast as I Can by Lauren Graham (I’m a Gilly: a fan of Gilmore Girls). My favorite book is The Gift of Therapy by Irvin Yalom; an inspiring must-read for therapists and anyone considering the field of counseling.

What is your favorite band?
Rascal Flatts. Some of my favorite songs: Feels Like Today for a smile, Stand for strength and inspiration, and My Wish for words from the heart.
