Research Director Bio

John E. Edlund, PhD
Rochester Institute of Technology

John E. Edlund, PhD, has worked at the Rochester Institute of Technology for 7 years. He teaches a wide variety of courses ranging from Introduction to Psychology to upper-level social psychology courses (and everything in-between).

His personal research interests include research methods research (looking at issues in obtaining consent, the advertising of studies, and participant crosstalk outside of the laboratory), evolutionary psychology research (looking at Mate Value, attraction, and jealousy), social psychology (including persuasion and stereotyping research), and teaching pedagogy.

When not in academia, John enjoys spending time with his family and working on his home viticulture (he has made several internationally awarded wines) and spending time outdoors.
