What is it?
- One grant of
$3,000 for Psi Chi members carrying
out empirical research. Preference is given to projects directly related to the mission of Psi Chi.Specifically projects that help produce well-educated, ethical, and socially responsible members committed to contributing to the science and profession of psychology and to society in general.
- Priority is given to undergraduate students, followed by graduate students and then faculty applicants.
How does it work?
- Write a proposal and budget for an empirical research project that addresses a question directly related to Psi Chi.
- Apply for the grant.
- Provide an impact statement and/or bio and photo to the grants department if your study is funded.
- Complete the project (Note you must get IRB approval before starting).

wants to complete an empirical research project that is directly related to Psi
Chi.
Who is Thelma Hunt?
This grant honors Thelma Hunt, who served as Psi
Chi’s historian from 1973 to 1979. She has been described as "an enabler, a
person who made it possible for others to realize their full potential.”
