To help local chapters grow and conduct meaningful activities, Psi Chi provides many resources for our advisors and officers. We have listed some of those below:

Resources to Recruit New Members

• Join Webpage. Send potential members HERE to apply for membership.
• Step-by-Step Recruitment Instructions. See the Advisor/Officer Toolkit (pages 2–6) for strategies to Identify–Invite–Induct new members (available on the Advisor or Officer Dashboard.
• View/Process Member Applications. Visit HERE (Advisor Login Required) to review current and past applications at your chapter.
• Downloadable Posters and Brochures. Discover eye-grabbing marketing materials on your Advisor or Officer Dashboard. You can also order up to 2 free posters and 20 free brochures for your chapter.
• Leave No Potential Member Behind. Explore a list of individuals who are occasionally overlooked during local recruitment drives (e.g., faculty, psychology minors, first-generation students).
• Invitation to Membership Templates. Use Psi Chi Invitation Templates to invite students to apply for membership and attend chapter events (available on the Advisor or Officer Dashboard).
• NEW: Board Guidance for Local Chapter Fees. For chapters that opt to collect local chapter fees in addition to the primary lifetime membership fee, please see best practices provided by Psi Chi's Board of Directors (available on the Advisor Dashboard).

Guidelines: Submit a brief video (between 2 and 5 minutes) capturing an activity your chapter hosted. This can be showcasing and detailing a speaker event, recruitment efforts, community service, social gatherings, and more. In your video, please make sure to state your chapter's name and briefly describe the activity and its impact on your chapter (e.g., serving the community, spreading awareness around mental health, helping members destress around midterms and finals, building comradery among chapter members). Please submit your video as a downloadable MP4 and share whether or not you used Psi Chi’s new Chapter Activity Ideas webpage (available via the Advisor or Officer Dashboards) to help plan or brainstorm your chapter activity, and if you found it helpful.

Prizes: First place will receive a $100 gift card for their chapter and their video will be embedded into the Spring issue of the Eye on Psi Chi online magazine. Second place will receive a $75 gift card for their chapter. Chapters who submit will receive a Chapter Activity Video Submission certificate and fulfill one of the criteria to receive a Model Chapter Award.

Date: Submissions are due by December 5, 2025. First and second place winners will be announced December 12, 2025.

• Faculty Members—must be part-time or full-time at the Psi Chi chapter where they join and hold a completed doctorate or master’s in psychology or a related field. Please note that faculty members must teach at least one course at the university during the same term as when they join.
• Chapter Coadvisors—must be full-time faculty at the Psi Chi chapter where they join and hold a completed doctorate or master’s in psychology or a related field.
• Primary Chapter Advisors—must be full-time faculty at the Psi Chi chapter where they join and hold a completed doctorate in psychology or a related field.
